Château des Gravières
Grapes: 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
Style: Well-balanced on the palate
Château des Gravières is a red Graves wine made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are from vines roughly 25 years old. The wine is aged for 12 months in 100% French oak barrels a third of which are new. With a beautiful garnet colour and aromas of ripe red fruit the wine is complex with some notes of vanilla due to the aging in barrels. Well-balanced on the palate with a very pleasant finish. Goes well with beef, lamb, pork or poultry.
