Château Haut-Surget

Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc

Style: Fruity with an excellent balance

Château Haut-Surget from the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.  Aromas of strawberry, raspberry are present and, with age, leather and coconut may be found with hints of spice and vanilla also.  Fruity with an excellent balance and medium tannins there is a delightfully long finish.  An award winner taking bronze at the Concours des Grands Vins de France à Macon in 2014 and gold at the Concours de Bordeaux Vins d’Aquitaine in the same year,  this wine will age 5 – 10 years. Will pair well with veal, chicken, duck and other meats and, of course, cheese.
